About Finnair

Finnair Airlines is the largest airline and the flag carrier of Finland. The government of Finland is the major shareholder of the Finnair. It is also a member of the Oneworld airline alliance, and also the sixth-oldest airline which is in continuous operations. Finnair Airlines also listed as one of the safest airlines in the world.

In 1923, Finnair was found as Aero O/Y by consul Bruno Lucander. The company entered into the trade register in collaboration with Junkers Flugzeugwerke AG for aircraft and technical support for a new airline. Later the airline started branding as Finnair, when the Finnish Government Acquired a major stake in the Airline Company and established airline services to Europe and other countries, after the World War II. Finnair Baggage

• Finnair Airlines baggage allowances differ based on the fare of the ticket or travel class.
• Passengers traveling in business class on international flights can carry up to 3 pieces of baggage. On domestic flights up to 2 pieces of baggage.

• The baggage exceeding 32KG, 75 euros, and 55 euros for international and domestic flights, respectively.
• Passengers need to check-in 3 hours before the departure with their checked baggage.

Finnair Check in

• Airport check-in: Passengers can check-in at the airport and can print their boarding pass. Passengers need to check-in at least 45 minutes before the departure od the flight. Passengers can even check-in at one of the self-service kiosk machines available at the airport.
• Web check-in: Passengers can check-in online on their computer or their mobile and can download the boarding pass and online check-in can be done 24 hours before the departure.
• Auto check-in: Passengers will be checked-in automatically with their Finnair Plus Profile or passengers can request for auto check-in while registering for the ticket and a link along with a confirmation text message will be sent to their mobile number which they provide.
