About Swiss International Airlines

Swiss International Airlines is a flag carrier that operates scheduled services of Switzerland, commonly referred to as Swiss or Swiss Air Lines. Swiss International is the subsidiary of Lufthansa Group and also a member of Star Alliance.

In 1978, formed the airlines called Crossair, which can be either called Swissair. Later in 2002 when the airline has gone through the bankruptcy, the managing director Marcel Biedermann initiated to change the name by looking over possibilities to make it fly again. Then Swiss international was commenced along with 40% of Crossair's income and officially started operations.
